This is making the assumption that death is somehow a bad thing. Sure it is not conducive to life as we experience it on a daily basis. There is certainly no way to know without a doubt that after this life we don't get uploaded to the cloud. Besides, where do all the calculators go?

@hardfault I know energy levels are discrete at the quantum level and appear continuous at the macro level. Has anyone measured that the position of particles is also discrete at the quantum level?

Particles and waves are interchangeable at that scale according to my sparse knowledge.

@Demolishun based on famous particle in a box calculation to find a wavefunction of a particle in 2d box you can see the probability of finding particle at a certain position is related to it’s energy, same is true for s,p,d,f orbitals around atom, that makes us think like position is quantized too
