Sounds like you're describing the awesomeness that is Cisco ISE or Cisco Prime. Those GUIs are a total shitfest of functions cobled together in a non-functioning layout thats is an abomination to all of us devs who know that the world har something called RESTful APIs and cross browser compatability... sigh... As far as I can tell they actually do RPC calls over AJAX to their backend.
I sometimes work with my company's so called "cms" tool. It's been patched up with new functionality along the way but was actually not even a cms tool from the start several years ago.
Nowadays you need to use Firefox or Chrome to change some content and IE for other stuff. So it's a lot of time and frustration spent on going back and forth between different browsers even for the simplest things. And I mean.. Hello... IE?!
Any of you have similar experiences? Please share and let me know that I'm not alone! 😢😅
