Thanks, YouTube, now you made me install Ad Blocker. The Fucking Youtube's new policy is trash, I already hated YouTube about putting 2 unskippable ads on some videos, now they damn crossed the line.

    Or, you know, just pay.

@RememberMe Youtube is rich all hell. Adblocker is free. Why not? Still, I will deactivate the adblocker on DevRant because it has no invasive ads, unlike Youtube.

@Bybit260 I block most google connections and ads, but then pay for YouTube because I don't expect to get things for free. That's the kind of thing that leads to excessive ads and exploitative data collection in the first place.

Besides,I can always expect the official services/app to work.

We want things for free, don't want ads...and then complain when we're the product.

@N00bPancakes Ahh yes, nvm I'm paying now.

I stopped watching YouTube by never starting. Sometimes the only way to win the game is to not play.

@SortOfTested Yeah, I just watch YouTube because of the the music. I get really annoyed when my music stops because of an Ad.

@Bybit260 you could get grasp of SoundCloud and such. I've seen quite generous collection of music there

@RememberMe I would agree with you if they would stop harvesting your data once you become a paid customer. Currently, that's not true.

Double dipping makes you a cunt.

    @Jilano hence I use piehole :p

@RememberMe This alone proves that your commend saying "just pay" isn't right, because apparently a person has to pay, and on top of that also install piehole or similar ad protection to get "even deal" with youtube.

This is starting to accumulate baggage :)

@Hazarth Noone said they aren't greedy cunts. But wanting their services for free means that they never had a chance to play fair.

I probably wouldn't mind ads about the tag of your post though.

I'm constantly surprised by the number of people who aren't already using adblock...

@cafecortado Yeah, I always hear about those sex ads on children's shows, yet I've never seen one. :(

@Lor-inc non intrusive ads were fine. Not these stop-the-world unskippable shit. Why is it unskippable? Even If I find the ad interesting, I know within 5 seconds. Give me at least the stupid skip button after 5 seconds... That's where all bets are off.

@Lor-inc I've seen those. They are not specifically sexual. But they have a really messed up message.

    What changed?

Well what YouTube does is abusive, so I have no problems using a ad block.
I wouldn't mind an add wonce in a while, not 30 seconds to 2 minutes add every video.
    Don't like freemiums too.
