Can someone explain why WordPress is bad? I mean just for setting up a Blog?

Are there any alternatives(no i dont want to code my own :D)

Just my 2 cents, WordPress isn't bad if it's for a simple website, but don't try to custom code it... Just pay 40$ for a theme and fill it with content...

WordPress IMHO is bad as soon as you need custom functionality on your site.

I disagree, kinda.

Kinda agree too.

I have, and can do anything under the sun you can imagine with WP by leveraging it's 'framework'. Not a hack, not a work around, but within it's ecosystem. It will look and run like a well oiled machine and never cause me one problem.

HOWEVER!

I do not recomend this.

The specific knowledge required to get to that point is staggering and specific to just WP, and nothing else.

Wordpress can fastly get pretty old, and then everyone is able to hack it, if u dont ulpdate it right

Ghost cms looks nice at first sight :) clean not so cluttered like wp and it seems fast.
