Running an ecommerce store poorly. To be fair though, most ecommerce frameworks are flaming garbage.
-
C0D4669024yit's when I sort by price but you don't sort by the discounted pricing... that grinds my gears.
Or other a min-max price range, but show me products outside of that range. -
@C0D4
I like the "best value" selector on Nordstrom rack. It's trivial (most discounted), but usually is fairly useful if you're clearance shopping. -
@M1sf3t
Rockauto is the only stop for old stuff. They spam the shit out of you though . -
@C0D4 Oh yes. That's the bloody worst.
Or it'll show items that aren't in stock and straight up return a "item out of stock page" instead of the product page.
Why the fuck even list it then. -
@M1sf3t considering it was a seasonal Old Navy t shirt, don't think that's the case. I think GAP is spending more money getting a Kanye line of products than on their website lol
-
What I hate in particular is e-shops where I use their search engine to look for something specific, like a vendor part number, and instead of "we don't have that", they display tons of other shit, sometimes not even remotely related. Instead of selling me other shit, all this achieves is make me hate and avoid that shop.
It's OK how Ebay does it, with a clear "we don't have that" and only then "these items could be similar". -
There are plenty of competing shops, wich let you sort by price - so i don't care about the ones that don't.
But i hate that filtering by product features is most often missing or poorly implemented. -
@dUcKtYpEd I wouldn't buy Gucci of I could afford it. 99% of it is ugly as shit and over hyped.
-
@Stuxnet Agree. I prefer good old army t-shirts and the classic biker leather jacket.
-
@dUcKtYpEd modern "fAsHiOn" makes 0 sense and I've stopped tryna understand it. Especially streetwear.
-
@Stuxnet The "point" is to make them a little different each year so that some coke-deranged fashion pope can order millions of sheeple to ditch last year's clothing and buy new stuff so that the fashion pope can afford even more coke, and hookers.
-
@M1sf3t The irony is that many women want to look "toned" and try to achieve that with dieting down alone - instead of also lifting iron and eating enough protein.
-
@M1sf3t Well that's right - temporary diets will only yield temporary results. If she goes back to how she ate before, she will look like before. No shit, Sherlock. ^^
And while you can never out-train a bad diet, a good diet without exercise will just leave you skinny fat.
But what's really relevant for us devs: strength training, properly done, should also develop muscles in the back, and that's the best insurance against back pain in a mostly sitting job. -
@dUcKtYpEd Avoiding giving delusional people a reality check will only make them more delusional. And so what if she freaks out? Fuck that shit.
-
@Nanos sorting by price from high to low is a selling strategy to make most goods on the store look cheap.

FloydDavis1435dI totally feel you! If an e-commerce site doesn't allow sorting products by price or rating, it just feels like a huge missed opportunity for user experience. It's something I look for right away when I'm shopping online. I had a similar frustration with a site a while ago, and I ended up doing some research

In shopping online, one of the most frustrating things can be the lack of sorting options, especially when it comes to sorting by price. It’s such a basic feature, but so many e-commerce sites still don't get it right. I’ve found that having the ability to sort products based on price really streamlines the shopping experience and helps me make decisions faster. On that note, I had a great experience with Personal Creations reviews https://personal-creations.pissedconsumer.com/... Their site offered various sorting options and made finding personalized gifts super easy. If you’re looking for an e-commerce site that’s well-designed and user-friendly, I highly recommend checking them out!
If you have an e-commerce site and you don't let me sort the products based on price, what the fuck are you doing?
