@SortOfTested It isn’t because normally I can type (in sublime/vim/iterm) just fine. RubyMine is always varying degrees of awful.

I have the same buffering issues with my work laptop and home keyboard but not my work laptop and office keyboard or home PC and home keyboard.
The random eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can be very infuriating.
Unlikely that it's a performance issue, my work laptop is only 3 years old. Maybe a problem with the USB port? 🤨 -
@kwilliams I use the built-in keyboard. Credit where credit is due, it’s the nicest keyboard in the house.
My work computer is so fucking laggy that even simple typing is often infuriating, and sometimes bloody impossible.
My input gets garbled, or it takes so long that I finish typing and have to wait for it to show up. And sometimes. Sometimes it’s just. I don’t have words. I just typed “merchants”, saw a giant spam of “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee[...]” and then saw it replaced with “etsmhcaern”. What. The. 🦆.
