"Jump ship!" "GEt oUtTa thEre!" "LoOk fer anOtheR jOb!"
Every fucking rant about bad work environment has those mudafucking answers LIKE THE PERSON DID NOT THINK ABOUT THAT.
Come on man, at least acknowledge the obviousness of your comment by adding a "I know you probably thought about this but...".
It'd be better if you could stop contaminating the comments with such fucking obviousness altogether though.

    You should get outa there. Devrant sounds like a really toxic place. Jump ship while you can!

    Sometimes people need the extra push or outside perspective to tell them it’s actually toxic enough that they should leave.

    That was the case for me.

    @Root @Floydimus Had I not seen the same comment several times in over 17237272 rants I'd also think it's cool advice.
    Not the case though.

    Most posts about shit jobs here seeking clarity or commonality here are r/aita-bait. It's "I'm too close to the fire, should I fish or cut bait?"

    Most of the replies are either humor, or helping you achieve catharsis through humor. Leslie Nielsen would have a bad time here.

    Some people are so used to bending over for their boss, they don't believe that there are roles that don't involve getting fucked in the ass everyday unless someone tells them

    @Floydimus B-but it's exactly that!
    "Bad things happen where I work"
    Answer: "Stop working there!"
    It's not helpful at all!

    @Floydimus
    "Suck it up, buttercup"
    "It's not that bad!"
    "Just lie back and enjoy it"
    "It was just the boss' tip"

    I mean, there's any number of ways to rationalize an abusive relationship that's going nowhere and blame the victim.

    People in abusive relationships often think there is no way out. It doesn't hurt to tell them.

    @Floydimus idk something along the lines of: "Sucks dude, hope you manage to change jobs soon".
    It conveys support instead of: "Here's the fix you are not thinking about you dumb thing. Do it it's so easy to say and do! You dumb for being in that situation having such a genius fix right here you obviously didn't consider!"

    @bahua I’m with you there! Last post I responded to with some form of find a new job was from a user who had been working for 1 year out of college. They ended they post describing that through a shuffle of PM’s and managers they had become the scape goat of office politics and could do nothing right. They asked how to fix it. You can’t. Once management goes sour two levels up it’s very difficult to make any real difference. Ymmv, but leaving for greener pastures was the realistic option.

    @cafebabe Lol that's what I'm gonna call it now. The "switch jobs already" stick. Aka the "jump ship" stick.
