Send the job offer!
Na, sounds really good
Do you have partner or family or something like "Im not sure"? -
willol13898yI don't know much about Poland, but here in France this is a LOT. I believe Poland is cheaper than France, so it looks like quite a good deal...
Almost fishy in fact, what's the position? -
@lostpirate I have somethings that I need to consider.
1. My little daugther that is only 10 months old.
2. Finish my collegue. I am on the second year.
But my wife is from ukraine so it is almost the same culture. And her home country is right next door.
So I think that will be a nice adventure for all of us. -
@willol The position is for a Front End developer but I am trying to get a Back End position because I have more experience in that area and it is the area that I like more working on.
-
If you don't try it, you'll spend the following years thinking: "what if". Good luck friend!
-
@cmall1234 Thank you. I am almost 100% sure it is an awsome opportunity. I want to give my all so it doesn't go away
-
@Shadow117 can you finish college from Poland?
I cant help with the daughter, imo is personal decision there -
@lostpirate Maybe. If the classes are in english. But I have to talk with the people in my collegue to understand which procedures I have to take.
-
@Haxk20 I have been searching the internet for information like that. I have seen that the food is a little more expensive than here in Portugal. Can you tell me about the life style?
-
vringar16198yI can't really provide much insight on the monetary site of things, since I just got my second paycheck.
But what I can tell you is that for your daughter ( if she and your wife cone with you) this is a giant opportunity, growing up bi or even multilingually is a giant opportunity. I was part of an expat community for a couple of years and I got embarrassed multiple times by 3 year Olds that were only there for half a year that helped me translate stuff I ( being there 4 years) could say. So if they can follow you go for it.
If you are however forced to go alone then I have only one advice for you: don't cheat. I know I am a random stranger and that I must look like a complete asshole for saying that but I have seen so many families brake apart because the man was alone out there and lonely.
I hope you can forgive me for the last paragraph. I am sorry if I upset you. -
@vringar Your last paragraph made my day. I laughed so hard. She is in college too but she is almost done so the first year I may go alone becuse is not worht it for her to leave college at this time. But with monthly flights to Portugal I think that will not happen. But I will look out for that situation.
-
@ebourgess Thank you for your support. I am currently at work. But soon as I get home I am call and accpet the offer. Hope they don't change their minds.
-
@Shadow117 that's good then ! Sorry uk we normally put down yearly 😅 I didn't think it was but had to make sure
-
Just give me your identity and personal information I will rescue you from this predicament !
-
Mail sent. Waiting on response...
Probabily only tomorow I will recive an anwser.
I can barely wait -
Grumpy28828y@Shadow117 A change of environment is always interesting. Whether you like it or not, you'll get new perspectives. Jump in head-first at the deep end of the pool!
-
MatWolf98y@Shadow117 I can say that Poland is lovely, I'm studying here and what to say... Welcome, if you want some info just let me know :)
-
@MatWolf What can you tell me about the culture, life style, prices, college, safety and so on (Basicly everything you can think of haha)😀.
Btw I am right now at my class and we are talking about binary trees. They complicate things so much... -
shizpi958yAccept it.
I'm from Portugal, working in Poland. I make less than half and I'm able to save about 40% of that without trying hard.
I eat everyday outside, never bring food from home. It's really cheap here. A nice restaurant will cost you about 15€
A regular one will cost you 4€
Polish language itself is super hard, one of the hardest, even beats Chinese, but most young people speak English.
You can live in Warsaw with about 600€, with your family I assume 1500/2000€ would be more than enough to live.
Public transport is great and cheap, sure there's the occasional smelling person, but they're everywhere.
I believe there are also English schools, but not 100% sure about that.
You can always go back, at least you had the experience. -
shizpi958yI see you're Portuguese.
Aceita, nem penses duas vezes. Apenas o frio é lixado.
Just be careful with contracts before moving. -
@shizpi Hahaha. Curti bue do teu último post. Tugas estão em todo o lado.
Thank you for the feedback -
Hi devranters....
I didn't get the job... They found a guy with more experience that accepted the terms.
Tonight I will cry a river so I can swim to Poland.
Already working on another opportunity in Ireland.
So fuck yeah never stop searching. Hehehehe 😀
