    C++ and german are my 2 biggest fears

    @RazorSh4rk Your fears are justified. Both are quite hard to master!

    @Letmecode This is pretty much the only book I own that is written in German. I once saw this in a bookstore and it was more of an impulse purchase than a planned one. I was impressed by the depth the author goes into and I think it serves as quite a suitable reference. That said, I am with you, I still prefer English books across the board.

    Quit your bullshit

    @jarnix @Shadow117 No I didn't because it was partly a refresher (C) and partly some new stuff (C++). I'm very comfortable with learning new programming languages and I tend to pick them up very quickly.

    @thecritic I went through a book once that was 5000 pages, in 20 hours.

    @Shadow117 I didn't understood a thing of it, that's the secret :D.

    @thecritic I don't believe that you actually got something from that book in 2 days. That works only if you are already an advanced C/C++ that tunes up his/hers knowledge.

    @shasha Well yes, as I said it was more of a a refresher in C and some new concepts for C++. I think it's realatively easy to go from any OOP language to another (C is not OOP, but then again, I already knew bits of C -- for C/C++ in particular there are additional specific things to look out for (e.g memory management) but my point is, the concepts are pretty similar in comparison to other OOP languages). That said, I never said I'm a C/C++ wizard now, I just said that I went through the book without problems :)
