I had connection issues, the servers just didn’t want to run... many things broke really fast (not on my side even though I was mediocre in my code compared to today) -

@NoMad I ran away from website development because I was actually pretty bad at it and I became a general-purpose programmer (I know Arduino, iOS development, just a pinch of reverse engineering) and now me and my friend are working on ohr own open-source virtual machine solution built in Swift. We already have Ubuntu server (no GUI) working!!!

for a GUI you could startup something like NOvnc on the ubuntu server and access a GUI thru the local web browser -
@butwhytho we want a Metal-based framebuffer, not somethingg that connects to a server. We want the solution that VMware, QEMU and VirtualBox got.
We ONLY got this far because of Apple’s new Virtualization framework which lets us make a Linux VM in not many lines, and pipe the console output to a dumb interactive terminal. If we want to write a display driver... we have to make it ourselves.
