@Elyz your suspicions are correct. I could max out the char limit on a rant about my experience on Tinder, and it has only been a month since I was depressed enough to try it.

on a serious note, tinder was harder for me than any other dating app, at the end I managed to meet my now-wife with facebook dating app(I can't stress that enough), I don't now if that's still just available in selected countries tough

I might look for alternative apps later on. Maybe Tinder just has a stigma for shitty people. (There are TONS of people that not even my desperate ass would consider)

Pornhub is a problematic substitute for love. It’s not only full of human trafficking and sexploitation, but in the end you still have nothing to show for it. I know the world is shut down but get on a dating app and just start looking for and connecting with people. Eventually something will work out. I met my wife online well before there were any apps at all. The Web didn’t even exist at that point. You can do it!

@kwilliams as bad as it seems, char(1) is best for cross-db design. MySQL doesn't even have a Boolean type, it offers only tinyint.

@AlgoRythm tinyint is probably still a better fit for bool than char(1).

@kwilliams yeah, but I'm general, char is the only thing that works everywhere. That's why I put it in my rant which has no specific database syntax.

Plus it's a little harder to use ("caps or no caps?") But it's just a tiny bit easier to read.
