Parents offered to get me a surface for Christmas. How is it to develop on other than the small screen?

    I mean it's hard to look past that one part lol. Other than that it's just like any other windows computer.

    @Oceas I already use a MacBook Air 11 inch so it wouldn't be that different for me. How annoying is the keyboard do you know?

    @humanbonsai The keyboard is actually decent for that tiny size. I was positively surprised, only the backspace key is a bit crappy on the Type Cover 2.

    @humanbonsai if you're used to the screen size and don't mind windows for developing then it's a solid choice and I love the official type covers.

    Why not take the surface and use a monitor when coding at home? Just connect the laptop and use in clamshell mode. I do this with my macbook air 13 inch all the time, it's great. Monitors are cheap nowadays too...unless one has expensive tastes.

    use the surface screen for what it's good at - being portable :)
