Have anyone of you ever asked during an interview why did the previous developer leave the job at this company?

I just want to know if it's good or bad thing to ask during an interview. I don't want to sound rude.

    I don't think they would appreciate it or even consider answering it.

    What answer are you expecting to get? There is nothing you can gain from asking his employers this question.

    They'll hate it cause if the employee left to another company it would be like advertising that company

    Yeah, probably a bad idea.
    That being said, a question I like to ask is "for you, what's the biggest problem in the company?". You often have surprisingly honest answers!

    @willol I would change that to , is there anything this company could be better at or do to improve ?

    Make it sound like you'd be interested to be an asset
