@aswinramakrish I will... Maybe. After half an hour wasting system resources (I even disabled windows defender in hopes it'll help) I killed the VM and postponed all related work...
I'm so fucking annoyed by this right now... I had constant 50-90% cpu usage and I/O on the disk of windows host process and some other windows related processes.
I mean even if it was windows updates working in the background, why isn't it limited in consuming resources so one can fucking work while it installs?

Just fired up my Windows 10 VM and it goes ham... there is nothing installed but office.
Why!?
Seriously. If someone can explain to me why this is necessary, I'd greatly appreciate it!
It's 15 minutes past when I've resumed the VM from suspension now and it's still going on like that and it's slow as fuck.
I don't want this to escalate to an OS war. Tastes are different.
As I was writing this: apparently Office is updating itself by default consuming a shitload of system resources while doing so. This is fucked up...
