I worked there, and neither I nor any of my colleagues had certifications of any kind outside of degrees.* It would be rather pointless to ask someone to be certified on the public interface of a system they're on the product team for.
*One guy had an MCA from another employer. He confirmed my suspicion that if they pay the $25k to take the exam, it's a no fail sort of thing. -

It definitely is, the tests are pointless for testing real skill. Their value depends on the market you're in. If you're in India for example, everything is about paper and bullshit qualification. If you're working support, you're also going to be expected to have them.
Just saying at the top end they become unimportant compared to your record.
