@liammartens I was looking at companies houses which is listed by the UK Gov. The only issue is noone puts their account in UK, they're all seem to be in Dublin or Jersey for some reason. Definitely not because of tax though....

JohanO20488ywhat country is this?
in sweden there are two major "person directories" (Eniro and Hitta.se) where you can query on phonenumber or emailaddress. -
@JohanO United Kingdom primarily, I'm just looking for a method so I don't have to manually search and build a database but haven't had any luck!

Surely you have invoiced them? Then you must have the address data in some kind of accounts package. Simply export as csv from said package, open in excel create some label shit and print out. Simple. You'll be back on devRant chewing the fat in no time.

@helloworld You would of thought so but we're an online service that's commission based so we don't invoice people. Just have company names, contact names, email address & website URL.
Was thinking of maybe scraping Google as it's such a small number of people. Use the list of company names to search Google then pull of the address that it serves up. -
@jacubsmith looks like a manual task to me then, from websites you can get their address info. If its a small number then i would do it manually to ensure integrity of data, once you have it though you can build this in to your internal system for future use. But you already know all this ☕️

@helloworld looks like the coffees being brewed extra strong today. Thanks for the help!

For that small a list it may be more cost efficient to copy/paste a screen scrape from the company site into one doc and then hire a 5er for a couple of hours to enter into the database.

arantr21918yMake a selenium script that searches for the address on a website where it's available and then inserts it to a db

Hey hey Dev community.
Do any of you wise ladies and gentlemen out there know of a way to automate tasks? I have a list of clients names (198) but we dont have office addresses. We want to send out Christmas cards to all of our lovely clients rather than email but now need to gather physical addresses.
Any ideas?!
