Finally, a well deserved upgrade from my reliable core i7 5500U laptop. This puppy packs a punch and has style. Wanted a MacBook Pro(newest models are so beautiful) but just seeing the price tag hurt my wallet; anyway I'm happy with this one, my only concern is getting used to the weird power button location

@F1973 home, end, next page, previous page are in the fuction keys 😵, gotta get used to this ASAP... tiny form factor comes to a cost

Wtf, never seen short left shift and small enter key in the same keyboard.

Looks like they cheaped out and used the same top as in US models. That also explains why the left shift is weirdly bundled line that.

I'd say the power button is the thing you should worry the least with that keyboard layout.

@electrineer welp, for my use case: that power button is where my older lappy "delete" button is 😅, so I'm pretty confindent I'll end up hitting that one instead of "delete" which is to the left now

I would have problem with that power button. It is the exact location as End key on my old laptop. My new laptop luckily has media controls there, so I could remap it.

Actually Asus addresses this by making the power button work only if pressed longer than you would do with a delete or end key. You would end up pressing it eventually, but in that case at least it won't activate unless you keep it pressed a little longer

@michezio oh, nice, thx for that

@michezio is this a different thing than choosing from the os settings to "ask" what the user wants when power button is pressed?

@electrineer yes, the button itself has an hardware based "delay" of activation and is indipendent from the OS settings
