Question: Do scientific programmers qualify as devs? If they don't, what part of the definition do they not fulfil?

    I think they totally fulfil being devs. Anyone who writes code for a living is a dev. Just my 2 cents.

    Oh, you mean the ones at CERN? I guess we can call them daddies.

    @CorruptComputer I guess guys that use MATLAB and R, sometimes Python, but for scientific purposes.

    And I do think some of them should be considered as devs, cus they also make cool stuff.

    I think so! Especially if they're also making a UI, documenting stuff, testing designing, etc. ... Totally not biased, though. 😉
