Pet insurance here generally has a limit lower than the deductible, you have to submit receipts for reimbursement and they deny for basically anything not related to basic care.
It's pretty scammy. -

Basically. Dental insurance covers regular checkups and maybe half a crown if you get the top tier.
The reason that dental care isn't considered medical care is so painfully emblematic of the corporatist disaster that is our healthcare system it's unreal. It is quite literally a hundred year old pissing match.

@Linux Most stuff you would claim for falls below the claim threshold (voluntary excess) so you end up paying insurance as well as for every fucking thing that happens, ‘cos they have worded the policy in such a way that makes you into a stupid twat. If they have to have surgery then you can get your monies worth.
