Thinking about learning Kotlin over the holidays :D

I actually would recommend you Maven, especially for Java. If you already know Maven, nevermind :D

What benefits do you see over Maven?

@DataSec Gradle feels way more flexible and buildscripts are easier to read and write for me. I'm looking forward to Kotlin-buildfiles, which should make them even nicer.

To be honest, i haven't used maven a lot, but i couldn't find a reason to change that yet.

Don't know the use case, but Kotlin can do way more than just build scripts.
It is interoperable with Java and you can even use it for native stuff.
