donuts236784y@heyheni picture? I use an icon pack do the icons itself hasn't changed but the notif and on my pc, it has
-
@donuts When mindlessly wanting to open maps and it opens gmail. Because the icon is white and with google colors.

donuts236784y@heyheni well guess u could always use an icon pack to change it back. But can't fix the notifs...
So all icons look like that now, can use it to spell stuff.... So thought of OM.
Om is described as a "sound from which all other sounds and creation emerge," and represents a "Supreme Power."

@donuts I turned off notifs for Gmail a while ago so I don't even know what the notif icon looks like. I check my email every day or two but anything critical usually comes via some other method (text, phone call, push notification from another app, etc.)
-
donuts236784y@F1973 why did they even bother changing it... Don't they have better things to do...
Honestly feel Google is no longer what ur used to be... Releasing new and cool stuff....
Everything is just incremental... a slight shift... Nothing that's completely new... Just milking the cash cow... -
donuts236784yGuess Brin and Page were the cool guys... Everyone else is just money, money, money...
-
donuts236784y@F1973 yes but they got so much $$$, might as well so something cool with it.... or just give it back to shareholders....

@heyheni i used to have trouble finding a single icon in a list of ~10. Used to take me literally up to a minute to find, say, Gallery, rather than the Camera app.
Then I found my sgs7 can create directories, i.E,. Groups of apps.
Grouping my most used apps by category worked like a miracle. [social], [email], [travel], [multimedia], [tools], [never used], etc.. Now I usually don't even have to look at the screen to tap the right icon [as lon as I manage to comply to the 3 clicks rule].
I guess [re]categorising could help your case too ;)
just saying
I hate the new GMail icon.... It feels weird or just empty... Or cookies just depressing
