Netux1668yNot a native english speaker, but I pronounce it 'rooter'. Never heard of anyone pronouncing it in any other way.

Native English speaker here: Definitely "rowter." If I heard someone call it a "rooter" I'd probably laugh.

Rooter. Why? Because rawter just screams American for me. The last thing I want is locals from whatever country I'm travelling to looking at me like an old disease. -

Oddly enough, routes you drive on are usually pronounced "root" around here. -
