@Mayhem93 This has already been done multiple times. The problem is, as always with this kind of ideas, finding a reliable source of real-time and accurate data.

PS: I also had this idea several years ago.

I'd like to write a script just like pcpartpicker, I haven't been able to start on it yet.

@Mayhem93 If the bus company doesn't share this data with the public or does not have the technology installed then it's impossible.

If you are thinking about asking the users to provide the data then first, already thought of that, second, good luck convincing enough of them to do it for each and every bus multiply times and third, you will need godlike predictive algorithms to calculate accurate arrival times for each stop.

If you are actually going to implement the crowdsourcing approach then you could better predict the times by taking into account the traffic data and, for one step further, the time of day specific stores get the biggest crowds, as reported by Google.

@nickpapoutsis there's a lot more to talk about this. But right now this will just be a personal project, a proof of concept. The bus clients in my demo will be simulated (the data for the public transit like bus lines and stops will be reported inserted manually by me just for the purposes of a demo)
