Mastering HTML5...

Hey dfox, it would be nice if edits done within, let's say, 20 seconds of posting wouldn't trigger the "edited" label.

I often notice some error (usually autocomplete) moments after posting and having the post marked as edited kinda gives off the wrong vibe.

Turning my 27" monitor vertically was the smartest thing I did all year.

There's so much space now that just using it makes me happy!

That only drawback is the 1080p horizontal resolution which is not enough for many sites to fit without zooming out.

I feel like I will soon persuade myself to buy a 4K monitor...

When you spend 5+ minutes creating a secure password for your new bank account and you get a message saying the password must be between 6 and 12 characters long.

Not sure I want to open this account any more.

Another hackathon is over.

Didn't win this one either but I am slowly recognising my weaknesses and (hopefully) getting better.

Beyond Hackathon 2017 @ Athens, Greece

Have been playing the pirated version of Rust for 30+ hours with no issues.

Decide to buy the game and every fucking time the game turns into Chrome and consumes all my RAM forcing Windows to show the low on memory dialog.

Lesson learned I guess.

UPS website is a clusterfuck of bad design decisions.

I hate myself every time I have to use that piece of shit.

Someone literally went the extra mile to make it worse in any way possible.

I pray to God that person is not alive anymore.

At least the salary is not crap.

Tried to find an experienced .net dev for a small project but no-one ever responded (while the view counter was in the thousands).

I am either too bad at writing ads or 50 euros/hour is way too low for someone to even ask for some more info about the project.

Fuck me and fuck them too, the money will just go to Asia. At least those motherfuckers have the experience required and are not afraid to talk. Plus, they are cheaper.

For fuck's sake man! I know you are an inexperienced junior dev/student but estimating 3 months at 6 hours /day for slightly modifying some C# code is just ridiculous.

I may have never touched anything .NET before but the modification required just 3 fucking lines and I did it in a day. In three months I would have finished the whole fucking project.

PS: VS2017 (RC) was quite lovely.
