Finally.ubuntu on my new laptop with a crucial ssd(275gb) and 8gb ram all working perfectly after so much trouble.now I can get back to my Java projects and learning c++ and perl

Hey, is crucial a good brand? Im building a pc and their rams are suspiciously cheap.

Just curious...why Perl?

@jackgreen I'm still deciding about perl.but it seems there are some good frameworks for developing good web applications with perl.

@RazorSh4rk well in my country the crucial ram sticks were equally priced to the other brands.i really can't judge the quality of it,it gets recognised in the bios,it works.i also have a crucial ssd in my laptop and it also is fast and works good.ive heard crucial parts being used in successful tech YouTubers setup.im pretty sure it's a decent if not quality brand.

Crucial ram is manufacture by Micron which are one of the few actual true oem for ram. Most of the other brands get their ram from micron and have them rebranded. In other word, Crucial memory is awesome!

@RazorSh4rk I swapped out my MacBook's stock drive for a Crucial SSD about 3 years ago, and it has been an absolute workhorse. Crazy fast, no issues.
