Just had a CS test.

I absolutely annihilated my hand and those questions. It went so fucking well. I was allowed to take pictures of my answers to check if they were correct at home. I’ll include them here.

The first one looks right as long as I understod the question: The list is of digits and -9 signifies the start f the next number.
The decond one you named a variable gradesAvg but used gradesAve
The third one looks very wrong(?) but I'll need to tty in discord about it because maybe there're some crazy conditions in the question that make it logical

I actually didn’t mind writing code by hand in CS examinations. Incentivises you to learn to code without relying on auto completion. People these days need to maintain their handwriting skills anyway. :D

@gomsim People these days have no use for their handwriting skills unless they prefer handwriting over digital, which should be a matter of personal preference.

@homo-lorens You're right, of course. I was probably thinking too much from my own perspective. I do want to maintain my handwriting skills.

@gomsim I am a bit invested in this as I spent most of primary and secondary school fighting for my right to use a laptop because I'm not disgraphic but my handwriting clinically sucks. IMO the only course today that can reasonably expect handwriting skills is the calligraphers'.

@gomsim I also think autocompletion, just like grammatical error detection, shouldn't be a part of tests because there are real scenarios where it's missing and I'd personally have students write their tests in MS Notepad. I just think that while handwriting isn't a real advantage and creates an arbitrary filter, touch typing is very practical and anyone can learn it.
