    Can also play bf1 as well. So yeah, major waste to just play GTA V. Future proof yeah, but still a waste.

    I have the msi gaming x 1080, got few months ago, i play bf 1 at 2160p, ultra all, get 60-80 fps, have fun, although, maybe should have waited for 1080ti

    @preyerguilt you do realize the human eye and brain can't see my higher than that right? Max is 60fps. So all these 120fps videos or games people play are literally to fast for you to even watch....

    @ScribeOfGoD I disagree. I see way more than 100.

    I got one to. Helps me program in VIM

    @nocgod Doom 4 sucks. Its the worst doom game ever. Doom 3 BFG Edition is better.
    In doom 4, you get hand-holding from the start to end. No figuring out things yourself.
  • 0
    @sebastian I respectfully disagree.
    Played the BFG version (even in 3d) and it was nice but not much more than that just another shooter with monster reminiscent of the old monsters of doom, the game mechanics had nothing special, the endless log listening and email crawling for door codes and cabinet code became tiring.

    The new DOOM (not called doom4) is a far more interactive game with nice scenes and great gameplay. I love the hints to the first games which bring old memories. The game mechanics is amazing, the hand-to-hand combos look amazing, the whole combat mechanics is awesome. The sound track is one of the best game sound tracks I heard lately the heavy-djenty-scifiy music fits well with the action scene.
    IMHO.

    @wax911 ASUS pissed me off with their drivers. Even if their hardware is top notch, their software sucks. Got an X99 Sabertooth last year, got into some issues with cooling, posted on their forums, months later still no response. I guess RGB lighting is more important than proper cooling...

    @wax911 Probably won't be buying from them again at least for the next few years.

    @ScribeOfGoD you don't know what you're talking about, just stop

    @nocgod The problem with the new doom, is just that you don't get to figure out things by yourself. Theres green lights and hints everywhere, and when there is something, Doomguy solves it for you. The only thing you get to do yourself is combat. Like a boring arcade arena fight game. Ergo, the game holds you hand through the whole game.
    Some hints can be turned off, but not all.

    In the previous doom games, there was thinking involved. Even in Doom 1 and 2, there was things you had to figure out, finding the correct buttons, solving labyrints with doors and secrets and figuring out key & door & button puzzles.

    in Doom3, there was a lot of figuring. Navigating computer interfaces, finding codes for operating machinery, doors, figuring out where the PDA you just found fits, and also solving complicated machinery puzzles. Also some fun minigames like the toxic barrel crane and such.

    @nocgod
    Forgot this:
    http://steamcommunity.com/id/...

    anyways, the reason I call it Doom4, is to not confuse it with the first Doom1 game. Same with for example BF1, another stupid naming convention by some developers that just confuses things up.

    @preyerguilt that's only if I had dropped frames.. I didnt. And just because you like it higher doesn't mean the OP didn't waste their money as I can play it within an acceptable range with something like my card.
  • 0
    @sebastian "naming convention by some developers" Mam developers don't care about the naming the product and branding teams decide on.

    All said - that's your opinion, I played the nightmare didn't have any green hint lights... Or didn't notice them at least.

    On the same boat :)

    @ScribeOfGoD 30-40 is really bad. I need atleast 60 otherwise i get motion sick :/
  • 3
    @ScribeOfGoD oh god. That is not true at all. If i put you infront of a 144hz monitor i will PROMISE you you WILL notice a huge difference.
  • -1
    @Dacexi I have no reason as nothing is made in that many frame yet? Movies are just now starting 60fps so it would be useless
  • 1
    @ScribeOfGoD games? Desktop?
  • 5
    @ScribeOfGoD eye frame rates has been thoroughly scientifically disproven. Tests:
    Dot shown for ~1/240th of a second or shorter
    Two dots shown at that speed of different color one right after the other

    The results suggest that eyes don't composite photons into frames but rather through some other mechanism.

    @gaben But human eye can't see more than 24 fps hurr durr

    How Much it costs?
