I'd pay 99 to google if the handled the annoying stuff like apples does. Sales tax! Enter manually for some countries and states/provinces... wth!

As much as I don't like apple politics you can't deny that this is the reason why there are a shitload of badly coded apps on PlayStore and none in the Apple AppStore

VS Microsoft - most services free and actually functional, uploading apps to Store also completely free

@MartinZikmund Apps are free because their market is new and needs to have an incentive for being on it.

Also Windows 10 is free because MS got into the data business.

@nblackburn they didn't get into data business. Microsoft doesn't steal your data, just one visit of Google costs you more privacy than a lifetime usage of Windows 10.

It's true but you get what you pay for under both companies...

It's much more expensive but you get a good product with many good interface choices [and with many flaws] from Apple

And from Google you get what it's strong at - reliable APIs, hardcore presence in the open source space, and very well built products for cost efficient prices

We all know here that as a Google user, you are the product. But really if it means services that are good and free. Hell who cares. As long as it doesn't compromise my lifestyle I don't care.
