So today , a company phoned me for a job I applied in Jobstreet. So the conversation goes like this.

Com " Do you have any experience in Android studio? "

Me : " Yes . I develop android application, it is compulsory to know actually."

Com :" ok... Do you have experience android SDK?"

Me : " I believe you are referring to the Android studio, yes."

Com :" do you have experience in Android programming"?

Me :" Yes. I do android application for both native and hybrid. As for hybrid, I use flutter."

Com :" Ok...but I was asking about android."

Me :*explaining what I just said *

Com: " you no understand! We need android programmer! Not native or flutter programmer!"

Me *explaining what native and hybrid is (in simple terms)

Com : " it is ok then.. our company prefer those who can develop android app , not native programmer or anything flutter programmer.
"

(Btw , I transcript how exactly that person talk to me)

My question to this person is.... WHAT THE F*** IS THIS? WANT AN ANDROID DEVELOPER BUT NOT NATIVE OR "FLUTTER"? WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN ? IF ANDROID IS NOT WRITTEN IN NATIVE OR HYBRID THEN WHAT YOU EXPECT ME TO USE THEN? USING ASSEMBLY X64?

That's what happens when HR does the recruiting with no clue about what the company is even doing - they just stick to their checklist items.

@Fast-Nop sometimes i feel that HR likes to get revenge on highly intelligent people lol

Treat this as a "stupid HR, go away".
    They wanted a yes/no answer.
    do you know X? yes.
    do you konw Y? yes.
Answer exactly what they asked. If they want detail, they will ask.
Do not go into details unless they ask you.
    Also, do not mention phonegap.

    1. Mentally strike this company from the list.
    2. Decide: end the Interview yourself and conserve ur energy or have some fun and revenge for fucking with your time and nerves and blast him with so much programming bs his nose begins too bleed.
    3. If he still takes you. DECIDE: Rant about his recruiting hr shit in the new company until he gets fired or you or take the easy money of the job and dont give a shit and keep on searching.

If I know I'm not going to walk through their door, I say something like, "Your mother, if you knew who she was, would be mortified by your behaviour" Or, another of my favourite chestnuts, "Sir, the major difference between you and I is that my ancestors were gentlemen whilst yours were still hanging by their tails from trees"

I'm sorry to hear or your experience with such an unhappy and stupid person. Sometimes they just can't help it.

    That's textbook 'checklist recruiter' behavior.

Instead of checklists, recruiters should get descriptive lists with 2-5 lines explaining every item there so they actually have a clue about what they're looking for.

    @magicMirror the heck is phonegap

Not really sure, but I have a feeling that they support app, which does not use frameworks like flutter or React Native (I assume that what was referred to as simply 'native') and wanted to know if you can work directly with the API.
I think that is the only way how the conversation could make sense, when you and another guy assumed different things by word "native"

Mostly that HR was a Arts/.. Major, working as first point of contact for all types of roles - basically a human version of a survey form to sort candidates into different interview panel groups.
Happened with me once, it's annoying.
