Asked to do overtime so I do. Everyone has gone home and now it's time for me to go home, so I go to leave the office to find the gate padlocked. I'm stuck. There is a side gate for cars that has a security code but I have no idea what that code is. So I end up waiting around and stalk the cleaners car out of the gate 'sigh'.

    We have a silent alarm that goes off if you leave by the back door after 7. it's a big building, so it's about a 5 minute walk from the main door to the lot we use.

    One night, I stayed a little too late and it was really, really cold out. I didn't think I would be outside long, so I only had a coat (no hat, scarf, gloves) over a t-shirt. It was, with windchill, about -40 degrees. The walk to my car just about took my ears off. :<

    @starless Is that minus 40 Celsius?

    @nickpapoutsis it's the same in both, but yes.

    @starless God, Minnesota is vicious.

    I am always with a t-shirt and jacket but 0C is just about my limit, don't want to imagine the -40.

    Also, I learned something new today, thanks!

    @nickpapoutsis I still remember the day that it got to - 45f ambient In university. The whole astronomy department was very excited because it was colder than parts of Mars.
