Fuck you devrant, pseudo funny remotely devrelated things get more upvotes than juicy outbursts of rage

    Well, people like memes.

Honestly, you shouldn't blame DevRant, blame the community

I know this feeling, I try really hard to make my rants unique. Almost never copied stuff directly from Internet.

But when I see a popular reddit post gets posted 50 times in here just for upvotes I really feel sad. It's not devRant's fault though.

    I need memes

    Rant confirmed

dfox should add a feature whether you're going to post someone else's stuff, so people that only wants to read rants, can filter them out.

@Mitch377 Oh, I know about it, I was talking more like:

    *virtual scenario*

Dev: Oh, look! Funny picture! Let's share it with some friendz!

    *Goes into devrant*
    *New rant*
    *Types and upload picture*

Dev: Oh, what's this? *Reads check box* third-party content? Yeah, because it's not mine and not a rant

    *Posts*

There needs to be like a separate section for memes. They are seriously Internet cancer for text based online community discussion. I get that the Dev Rant developers just want the community to do their own policing, but it really just elevates the lowest common denominator.

DevJoke. Is it a thing yet?

I earned my stress ball with original content, but yeah, it's really hard to compete with memes and stolen jokes

@tahnik Easy (lazy?) solution: 1000 ++s before you can post pictures.

This is what I think. Have it like imgur where before posting the user is forced to categorize their "rant"

    Funny
    Rant
    Story

@capnsoup nah, then it turns into stack overflow. Where people need privileges. And then an elite forms.

@fox8091 That sounds more like a possible solution.
