Around '95 I had a hard drive which wouldn't want to start. So my father opened it and noticed that the little spin motor cannot start spinning the discs by itself. If he helped him by pushing it with the finger it worked. So each time we turned on the computer we needed to spin the discs manually for the first moment. It had 32 MB I think, ms-dos and later Norton Commander was running from it.

I have a collection of platters I've retrieved from old drives. I feel like there must be something cool I could do with them, but haven't had any bright ideas. I could start covering the wall behind my desk I guess..
