iiii90854yStop. Get some help.
Bashing your head against the wall is useless, so unless you get new perspective or input, you will be stuck. -
asgs112774yTaking a break or having some diversion helps
But if not, talk to someone in your team. They may have a different thought process than you do -
My routine in a nutshell:
Try more. Try the same thing 20 times. Bash your head on desk. Try the same again. Yell at computers. Google just to find that what you did a gazillion times worked for everybody else. Write a call for help message on slack just to find that you're before anyone else's timezone. Stop. Workout a little. Take a walk. Listen to Rammstein. Then realize. Go back to your pc and fix that typo that vscode autocorrected to a valid, but totally different method. Cry. -
Switch to something else even if it's just for a minute or two. Gives you fresh eyes when you go back
Or you know, just get hammered -
k33da98344yIf its taking longer then try to get help, ask people, or just skip that task for time being. After 1-2 hrs of break you can start fresh.
What do you do when you get stuck on your task? Do you have any unusual ways to approach the solution?
