Voxera113884y@MadMadMadMrMim they probably work well if you primarily write text, but for coding I find I often use key combinations that does not work well with them :)
-
@Voxera the ergonomic keyboards aren't really comfy is what i was saying except MAYBE for typists that use the keyboard as designed.
I don't. I developed my own half hunt and peck way of typing. -
I don't think you need an ergonomic keyboard. Especially not for programming. What you need is a good wristrest, so your hands are as straight as possible.
-
Because it makes typing more comfortable and less injury-prone.
And with the keyboard I have, I can have macros and easily customise the keyboard. -
Bo1o134yI have one. love it. being tall, big heavy man, to use a regular kb my wrists are really bent and it really is very uncomfortable.. I found one I like.. and have a spare new in a box incase this one fails.. so its been near 20 years.. so I should be good.. lol

Have a kinesis split keyboard, bought it cause I had a discount and costed me as much as any other red switch mechanical keyboard, ended up noticing a lot less stress on my back at the end of the day... decided to keep it!
Also it helps typing correctly! (Which in turn means faster, but I am actually not trying to go fast) -
split keyboard, remaped keys, escape on capslock because of VIM, dvorak, comfy as fuck.
only upgrade I am considering is apple touchpad in middle of keyboard or some kind of track wheel. Leaning more towards touchpad
