I got an old laptop from my girlfriend that I can use for whatever I want.

As a programmer and computer nerd you can't deny that you wouldn't do anything with it, but what to do?
I want to use it for something, but can't figure out what. Maybe you have some ideas :D

    Try out all the different OS? Write an own linux? A computer you can talk to which controls your home lights and other devices or smth with voice recognition/voice commands?

    @Cube189 haha door holder xD it could be possible, it's a fat and heavy laptop.
    I have thought about trying different Linux OS. Also voice recognition could be awesome!

    I have an old laptop that I use as a multifunction server. Backup my data, sync my work laptop and personal laptop, media server...
