Planning on upgrading my laptop. Budget it's ~1000USD, any suggestions?

I'd prefer something with >=FHD screen, it's hard to code on my 1366x768 resolution (non glossy also)

Are you concerned most about performance or portability?

Does "I'm very jealous of your budget" count? 😜

@osmarks I'd like more performance. Something with an i5 or up

I got myself a HP ProBook this week. Seems pretty nice!

Also, I had the WORST support experience with Lenovo (ThinkPad, not IdeaPad) and seems like I'm not the only one complaining.

Still, if you're looking for a 15", take a look at the MSI laptops or maybe wait a little more until there are more laptops in the market with full GTX1050s 😉

@milkbytes Probooks and Elitebooks are nice, currently my laptop it's an Elitebook 8470p, it's awesome but that 1366x768 makes it hard for me to read code 😅

@apex Mine is a brand new ProBook 430 G4 with Kaby Lake and USB-C. It's 13.3 FHD but you also have the 440 G4 with the same design and specs but with a 14 FHD for about 60€ more (at least when I got mine that was the price difference between the two)

@apex Then you can really just get anything with a ≥i5 and SSD.

    ThinkPad!
I do work with thoose everyday, and from my POV the support is great

I've been digging @milkbytes suggestion. That Probook seems pretty neat, all I have to do it's get the FHD one

@apex I think that only the Pentium and i3 versions are offered with the HD display. i5 and i7 are all with FHD, at least were I bought mine they were.

    UPDATE:

Ended up buying a Lenovo 700-15ISK for ~600USD. It has some nice specs.
