While Religious and Political post are big No No here, this seems to be a rant which wouldn't lead to any such talks.
(No y'all please don't prove me wrong).
Politicians or political people are top level narcissists. For them, it's all about attention. It does not matter whether you are angry at them or sad or any other aspect.
Just like Marketing, any attention is good attention to them.
Best way to deal with is, ignore and move on. If you can change something then go ahead and do so. If you can't then ignore for your own peace of mind.
Edit: and yes that's the primary reason why Twitter became successful.
Everyone has an opinion but no audience. Twitter gave people a platform to voice their crap towards a larger group and hence all of a sudden every Joe is smarter than the other one. -
Gxost3103yMy country had been developed and improved, partially because of good president and government, partially because of volunteers, until people who wasn't interested in politics, voted for a candidate who was incompetent and didn't respect own country. It's easy to lose hope in humanity when positive plans and achievements are ruined by people who actually don't care.
-
@Gxost Which is why my admittedly uneducated opinion is that people who don't care about a particular issue should be excluded from the effort, benefit and decision by design. I don't know how this would work, but it should be one of the primary principles of whatever system hopes to outperform parliamental democracy.

qwwerty11443y@homo-lorens "people who don't care about a particular issue". There might be a problem that people who care/pretend to care, already follow their own interests/agenda.
-
@qwwerty People who don't give a fuck are not better at making decisions than a large group with varying self interests.

One thing I noticed is that arguments don't matter in politics. Most people won't even read them, they will just assume they disagree with you and project the most simplistic arguments into yours which they can then easily object to with cookie cutter phrases from their ideology. EVEN when you agree with their main point but criticize some small associated thing
It feels like people can only be swayed in their opinion by direct indoctrination
Maybe it always was like that. But now we have twitter. And suddenly every joe feels like they have a well thought out opinion that must be shared and even better they have a convenient cult-like filter bubble that unconditionally agrees with them
I actually, unironically fear for our future
