Does youtube have the disable personalized ads setting. I'd rather have that, i hate personalized ads, don't y'all feel uncomfortable that each time you watch sth a related ad comes up its weird. Ofcourse some of you might say pay for youtube, but I ain't doing that

@EpicofGilgamesh Exactly. But i am guessing if we turn off personalised ads we will get more unrelated ads to make up for the value lost. I am already 3 ads every video, so i would rather shut my eyes and ears for the 15s than having to watch unrelated shit for 1 minute.

@EpicofGilgamesh you wouldn't hate it if you spent an hour in front of classic TV program. I'm sick of ads for diapers, kitchen supplies and shampoos. I love personalized ads. For me, it widens the horizon of stuff you care about, because that way you can stay comfortably in your filter bubble but still see what's new in the world.

@EpicofGilgamesh For EU / EEA one can disable personalised ads, it is one of the "do you agree to" questions when visiting youtube the first time (can also be changed later or in your Google account)

No idea if this is available in other areas.

I just found somewhere guide, which in two chrome extensions, disables 95% of adds in youtube to me.

@Floydimus try using youtube go, a slim version of youtube app, i realized sth , if i play sth and i move away from the screen after a few minutes it'll pause the video and ask if am still watching. Has happened a few times had to delete the app that's creepy as fuck
