Yeah like ms office is excelent...

Libre office is good enough,
Never had problems with it,
It have some nice CLI utilities like librewriter of I remember correctly,

@metaory The problem is other people are using Microsoft office. By it self its good enough.

But when you open documents that are made in Microsoft office the layout breaks or sometimes content even gets lost.

Happend to me several times so I switched back to Microsoft office.

Am I one of those very few people that uses Google docs?

@tahnik Same here. I do all my class work in Google Docs. With the exception of OneNote for my notes; which is free anyways.

Google Docs is pretty good and does the job well.

I think LibreOffice is decent. Don't open a Microsoft document format and you'd be fine.
