C0D4669443y15-20 min (depends on what's going on)
We find around 10am works well, it's not first thing so you can get some work done in the morning or deal with BAU or whatever before hand.
Team is 7 and there's usually 1-3 people from the business side depending on what's being worked on. -
nebula18133y4 full time 2 half time, 20-30 minutes.
apart from the usual questions we also talk about and assign help desk items.
usually goes like this
1. check high prio emails and assure that they get addressed
2. view and assign critical help desk items
3. normal daily (each person: what did i do from last daily until now, what will i do next, do i have any blockers)
4. organizational stuff and in depth blocker removement, where mostly only part of the team is still there (just the ones needed to resolve stuff)
This meeting is at 12am -
Twice a week at 9am for about 30-45min. It’s a common standup for all dev teams in our department, so in total about a dozen devs on 3 product lines. Usually we go through product by product whether or not there’s something to talk about and the rest is just social chatter.
Our product goes something like this, usually:
TM: What’s up for Product X? Any issues?
Me/my senior: Nah, we fine.
We’d be done in 15 minutes or less if there wasn’t this one person in this one team who always has something to complain about, or some problems, and throws them at everyone’s face each and every time for durations that feel like an 8hr work day. At least our manager leaves them last, so that the rest of us can just zone out and start working on whatever… -
Hazarth94843yTwice a day, at 10am and 3pm
Team size is 8 not counting the managers
Can take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes each -

Our company is contracted under another company and we have a local project manager and they have like a senior project manager above us
So one daily is just our local team in the morning, and the second one is exactly the same people + the senior manager and before work ends.
It kinda works, I can't realy complain too much, a bit of a time waste sometimes but it's ok
How long are your daily stand-ups with ur team (what size is ut team?)
And when do you have them? First thing in the morning or later in the day?
