simple change to turn it all around: bounty paid by whoever committed the bug, from their salary, to theperson who found it.

@Midnight-shcode The vast majority of bugs are born in between interfaces, either from incorrect docs, a faulty shim, insufficient planning, design errors where handling an edge case is delegated by two workgroup managers to each other, or neglecting to read the docs and guessing the behavior of an API from its output.
