Could this have been avoided by tests and CI/CD? If so maybe its not entirely his fault.

@Crismon It's a process that you need to test manually or write a lot of fuckery to simulate being a browser user.

The point of the library is to be an extension of the updated dependency and updating to a new minor version without checking the changelogs is something that just asks for trouble imo
