One. And since then jobs have found me.
What's your background / education / major / whatever? -
I started as tier 1 corporate IT support in a call center, so I only sent in like 10-20 applications total while I was job-hunting. I'd aimed to go into either software development or network engineering eventually, but started at the bottom of the IT totem pole just for the sake of having any income whatsoever.
Eventually, due to the wonders of infrastructure as code, I ended up going into both development and network engineering simultaneously. -

I am currently interning as software dev but since I will graduate in a few months, I need to start looking for full time position.
I thought that by having almost 2 years experience interning in big tech company in my country I will get in easier. I guess I underestimate it.
@Demolishun is right, I should apply to at least 50 and then more 50 while learning to ace interviews.
I learn a lot in my internships, unfortunately not deep enough as required by many full time position advertised. -

My manager who thinks I am a good catch unfortunately doesn't have open position in his team.
He can only refer me to other teams and make recommendation.
I got one interview with other team, unfortunately I didn't study enough, so I failed it.
I thought that my understanding of the codebase and how the company works internally is sufficient.
I just hope that I can find someone like my manager who has given me a chance despite having barely experience (when I first applied to his team 2 years ago) in the next 50-100 companies I will apply. -
@cho-uc blatant incompetence to let someone go so easily who you have first trained for the position

jeeper58093yYou have got to filter out anything older than 3 days. After 3 days all but the most specialized, non remote job posts have been flooded.
Also, FAANG, for all their flaws, will get back to you if you apply through their proprietary careers site and you’ve got relevant experience. Ymmv with the leet code interviews, but it’ll move forward. -
@cho-uc Not sure where you are located, but if you are still a few months away from graduating it might just be a bit too early to apply? Usually companies want people to start ASAP.

Depends on what type of job.
If it is for working at a restaurant, I just had to send 1.
If it is for IT, I had to send over 40.
How many job applications did you send to get your first full-time job?
My friend applied for 200 jobs before he got one. I am in my 30s now, but my motivation has almost run out.
The future seems bleak.
