Nobody thought about the scenario, where you received your vax certificate via pdf on your phone and wanted to register the qr code that was inside it? Like using a screenshot of the code or the pdf itself? The covid app on my phone demands to scan a qr code using my phone's camera. Understandable, if you receive the code on a piece of paper. But what about doing it this way too?

@electrineer only main camera available using the covid app, as far as I know, so not helpful ... already solved, but could have been possible?

@RememberMe had to open whatsapp on a laptop, open the pdf and then scan it

@Hazarth I don't know how that would've helped, but I guess I could've tried drawing the code with a pen onto my hand ... with a great chance of failure.

Or what about if you never got a vaccine passport at all? You can’t get another two shots, and you can’t get another card either, so you’re stuck. Increasing amounts of paranoia also means you soon won’t be able to fly, go to public events, cross state lines, … and if some people get their way, you won’t be able to go to stores or even get medical treatment at the hospital.

Hell of a missed edge case.
