Just realized that CRON only supports up to year 2099.

Y3K might become what Y2K was hyped up to be. Time is ticking...

    Fortunately at 2099 there is still 801 years until y3k... 800 years ago genghis khan was roaming the plains and had absolutely no concept of anything that would turn into cron

    i haven't written a crontab entry for years. Imcompletly replaced it with systemd.timer .

    @Linux As time advances innovation in security slows down and builds age slower, so while it sounds completely ridiculous to run software from 40 years ago it's entirely feasible that today's builds will still be commonly used 40 years from now.
