    @TeachMeCode Something my Manager and my printer have in common. I don’t trust them *and* they are both out of magenta and therefor can’t do anything.

    If I look at the mass of paper I need to shred every year...

    Crayons sound like a good idea.

    @IntrusionCM

    We have giant whiteboards at the office, with erasable markers. The markers are even refillable, using "100% biodegradable ink".

    What do managers do? Buy boxes full of post-it notes, stick those on the whiteboards. Not a few, not a dozen.... literally thousands of notes.

    Then they bought magnets and rope, so they can draw "lines" between the notes.

    These people really didn't get enough praise in kindergarten, trying to compensate for lack of attention as toddlers or something.

    I'm just very glad they aren't mixing glitter glue and playdoh yet.

    @boombodies
    Offer your manager to buy new _crayons_ for USD 99,000.

    @bittersweet that's dumb. xD

    My role is usually long term planning and restructuring.

    Hence I need to plan far time ahead and create a "puzzle" kind of documentation.

    I never know at which time one piece of the puzzle gets set in motion, hence I need to keep them "around".

    I tried most of the stuff, the trouble is really keeping shit low effort (e.g. draw.io is nice, but takes a long time, especially if you have a high uncertainty due to the topic being large) and long term storage.

    Most of the time I create folders and keep the current configuration, reasoning for change, targets / dependencies / etc cetera en paper in the folder.

    I've tried once to do it in Confluence and draw.io. felt like torture after 2h and I gave up.
