@AvatarOfKaine You can use it without paying regularly (until they choose to shut off cloud services taking no responsibility whatsoever for the sold DRM content), therefore you own it exactly as much as you own land. Your parliament, and under certain conditions the government as well, can usually force you to sell it at a price specified by a third state-trusted party. Depends of the country but nearly all of them have such laws.

@AvatarOfKaine One can argue that a device worth a couple hundred dollars should be owned like a hammer and not like land, but manufacturers usually don't share that opinion. The disgusting part is that they dare pretend that their opinion isn't based on self interest.
