    At first, this might seem like a simple slip with QA. However, there's another, much more serious problem to pay attention to when things like these happen. It's a clear sign that employees give absolute zero fucks about anything beyond fulfilling the bare minimum task requirements:

    - the content writer just put in some brackets instead of agreed-upon placeholders because it's not their job to know what placeholders the marketing platform uses
    - developer coded the newsletter without reading the content, expecting proper placeholders
    - marketing switched to a new platform with different placeholders without notifying devs because it's not a tool devs need to use
    - marketing employee just copy-pasted coded newsletter, not checking placeholders because that's "tech magic"
    - newsletter dispatcher didn't bother to check the contents before clicking "Send" because they can't fix anything without going back to the developer

    @hitko And the way managers love to jack off to the "separation of concerns", its only going to get worse.
