No. But if you're using c++, you're more likely to be working on types of work that pay better. Using JS? Probably a web dev. Using Swift/Java? Maybe mobile dev. Using c++? Well... These days, maybe hardware, high performance maths, low latency... There are fewer reasons to use c++ these days.

i think it's tricky to look at salary only. you can get a high salary programming in a unpopular language, but there'll be fewer spots available too

Using spaces instead of tabs also helps with the salary, statistically.
