I have two questions to WhatsApp

1️⃣ Why does WhatsApp store a copy of ALL images ever sent? LOCALLY? I thought it is a cloud service. Why would I want to keep gigabytes of data on a device with limited internal storage?

2️⃣ Why no proper multi-device capability on Mobile? Why no voice call on Desktop?

Bruh WhatsApp is so limited and awkward it is a shame it somehow got so popular

WA does not keep anything on thier servers after a fixed period of time has passed.
Imagine that each idiot who uses WA, has 5Gb of data. Multiply that by the 500m users, and try to keep backups.... gl.

Multidevice support is just a way to sync data generated by and stored on multiple devices in a coherent way. Think of sharded/mirrored database deploys - but for WA crap....

@iiii Telegram is not WA. It does things verrrrry diffrently. starting with the encraption (not a typo there), and continue with the horrible data format. Storing files on thier servers is just totally insane, and costs lot of money.
@prodigy214 Yup. ever wondered why the web client goes "your phone is offline, please connect it", all the time? also - media sent by WA is stored in a server, for a while. It is removed later.

Has anyone claimed WhatsApp is a cloud storage service? It's a messenger.
